4/14/2008 - AIM House Women's program is pleased to announce Linda Harrison MS, LPC, LCAS, MAC,
NCC as our new program director.
Linda brings a wealth of experience and education to her position. She was awarded
a master's degree in community counseling from Western Carolina University in 2004.
She holds state licenses in North Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor
(LPC) and a Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). Her national certifications include
a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Linda
recently accepted her position at AIM House Women's program following 17 years with
the state of North Carolina as a social worker in mental health and 11 years as
a counselor in the addictions field. Most recently, Linda enjoyed working with Phoenix
Outdoor Wilderness Therapy program as their clinical director where she developed
their family support program and substance abuse track.
Linda is thrilled with her position at AIM House not only for the creativity of
program delivery, but also the hands on experience with the young women teaching
life skills and building relationships, "The AIM House philosophy is a great fit
for me due to the holistic approach of working with women while stimantanously addressing
individual therapuaetic needs." You will most likely find Linda in the Earl House
kitchen cooking with the young women!
