Kaitlyn is a therapist at AIM House. She received her BA in Psychology from The Colorado College and holds an MA in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.

Kaitlyn was drawn to working with young adults at AIM House after having worked for three years in wilderness therapy programs. Kaitlyn was inspired by the life changes she saw people make in wilderness and wanted to be a part of their continued journey as they transitioned back into their lives and society. In 2010 Kaitlyn started with AIM House as a mentor and has since moved into a therapist role. Kaitlyn specializes in animal assisted therapy where she utilizes relationship with animals and nature to help people gain connection, personal insight and awareness that helps them to overcome challenges, fulfill themselves, and achieve life goals. She has a Gestalt, wilderness therapy, and DBT background and has been working therapeutically with people from many different walks of life for the last 8 years. Kaitlyn has experience working with individuals, couples, and families and can assist with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, attachment, family communication, self-awareness, personal growth and self-exploration. As a therapist Kaitlyn looks forward to embarking on the journey with her clients’ to help guide their process of building a better future.

In her spare time Kaitlyn enjoys the outdoors with her husband and two children. She loves horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking and being around water. She has a passion for traveling and living life in the moment.
